Stainton Chellew is a full-service smaller law firm in Central Auckland focusing on the legal needs of people in business and their families. Our firm has been established for a long time and we have many long-standing clients.

About the role:

You will work across a range of work including:

· Commercial property - acting for landlords and tenants as well as work on commercial property transactions;

· Residential property – subdivisions, cross-lease to freehold conversions;

· Business transaction - sale and purchase of businesses & shares;

· Business structuring advice - a particular focus on shareholder agreements & succession planning;

Trust and estate planning - formation and administration of family/investment trusts; EPOAs and wills.

What we are looking for:

One of our senior lawyers is retiring soon and we are looking for someone to replace him. We are ideally looking for someone with 7+ years of PQE experience in property, commercial and trust law in New Zealand who likes a varied role with lots of client contact.

The candidate likes to work autonomously and enjoy mentoring others.

You may be looking at cutting back your hours or stepping down from partnership/being a principal of a firm and wanting to wind down.

We are very flexible with working arrangements and are happy to discuss.
